Piston movement is mainly composed of Cylinder, piston, connecting rod, crankshaft, valve mechanism, propeller reducer, casing, etc. The cylinder is where the mixture (gasoline and air) is combusted. The cylinder accommodates the piston for reciprocating motion. The cylinder head is equipped with electric spark plugs (commonly known as electric nozzles) for igniting the mixture, as well as intake and exhaust valves. The temperature of the cylinder is very high when the engine is working, so there are many cooling fins on the outer wall of the cylinder to expand the heat dissipation area. The arrangement of cylinders on the engine casing (receiver) is mostly star or V-shaped. Common radial engines have 5, 7, 9, 14, 18 or 24 cylinders. In the case of the same single cylinder volume, the greater the number of cylinders, the greater the engine power. The piston bears the gas pressure to reciprocate in the cylinder, and through the connecting rod to convert this movement into the rotation of the crankshaft. The connecting rod is used to connect the piston and the crankshaft. The crankshaft is the power output component of the engine. When the crankshaft rotates, the propeller is driven to rotate by the reducer to generate tension. In addition, the crankshaft also drives some accessories (such as various oil pumps, generators, etc.). The valve mechanism is used to control the timing of opening and closing of the intake valve and exhaust valve.
